Agronomy
From crop planning to harvest – we provide whatever level of agronomy service your farm operation requires – at no extra fee. And because our agronomists make no commission on products sold, you can be confident that you are getting solid recommendations and unbiased advice.
We can help you answer the following questions and concerns:
- What crop rotations and crop variety options are most suitable for my farm?
- I need help to identify and diagnose the soil and crop problems in my fields.
- What herbicides will work best for the crops on my farm?
- Should I be soil testing? And how do I interpret the results and recommendations?
- What are the best fertilizer management practices needed for my crop type, including rates and application options?
Aerial Application
We have a line-up of 4 Air Tractor AT-502 B aircraft. These are all late model 500 gallon capacity aircraft with the newest technologies available. They include state of the art Satloc GPS moving map guidance systems e/w flow control for precise application rates under all conditions. These fast and efficient aircraft are also equipped with the newest in nozzle technology to help insure that the product being applied is effective on the crop and the pest. We also have available a dry spreader for aircraft seeding and fertilization with GPS controlled flow rate. For special situations, we use a Robinson R44 helicopter. All of the same new technologies are incorporated into the spray system of the helicopter.
Bulk Seed and Seed Treating
Our state of the art bulk seed and seed treating facility is second to none. We provide accurate hassle free seed treating in season. As with every new venture we continually adding new features and refining our equipment to give you the best possible service in the Westman area. Treated on your farm or in our yard – at pickup time we will do what it takes to keep you productive and in the field.
Liquid and Dry Fertilizer Application
Our Liquid Fertilizer plant supplies our customers with all of their liquid fertilizer needs. We have blending plants for both dry and liquid products and the delivery trucks and personnel to make sure you have it when you need it. We also provide field delivery in season and Field Storage for all of our interested customers. In addition we have a line of new liquid fertilizer caddies that our customers can rent during seeding. Our dry fertilizer spreader is available to customers during busy times to accurately apply dry fertilizer to their crops.
Ground Application
Our high clearance ground sprayers are available to assist our customers with all of their spraying needs. In addition we have one high clearance dry spreader that can accurately apply all of your dry blended fertilizer.
Retail Sales – Crop Care Products and Micronutrients
At Westman Aerial, we carry a full line of agricultural crop care products including herbicides, fungicides, insecticides and micronutrients in our two certified warehouses.
